Glazer Cares
Hilary Glazer | End of Life Doula
I help individuals and their loved ones navigate aging, dementia and terminal illness.
About End of Life Doulas
Like a birth doula, an End of Life Doula offers non-medical support - but at the end of life. We work alongside families, caregivers, palliative and hospice teams to support the person who is facing death. Our presence allows the dying person to focus on what matters most to them. We strive to create space for the family and loved ones to be as present as possible and connected to the journey and experience itself.
My Approach
I create opportunities for people to talk about their life and their death - in a space where these are not mutually exclusive concepts and death is normalized. This is where I work to explore the what ifs, the fears, the unknowns, unfinished business and to use that to inform the now of life no matter how much time is left.
About Me
I was trained at INELDA, the International End-of-Life Doula Association. In addition to my End of Life Doula practice, I am a hospice volunteer with the Center For Hope where I work with individuals and their families. Previously, I had a successful 25+ year career in digital publishing and EdTech where I led teams to build apps and websites for parents, kids and teachers. My undergraduate degree from Clark University is in Psychology with a Certificate in Gerontology. I have deep roots in Park Slope, Brooklyn where I raised my two children, worked my shift at the Co-Op and volunteered at Congregation Beth Elohim – where I sang to terminally ill people at their bedside.

I work in Manhattan, Brooklyn and New Jersey. Please reach out for more information.
